About Us

Formative Connections CIC exists to improve outcomes for people who face barriers to education and employment by helping organisations create psychologically safe, supportive and inclusive environments. 

The CIC will deliver Champion and Mentor training, resources, consultancy and ongoing professional development to charities, community organisations, employability and skills providers, local authorities, youth services and employers. 

The training equips staff and volunteers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support children and young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), neurodivergent, or experiencing social, emotional or economic disadvantage as they transition into education, training and employment. 

The CIC will also develop a network of trained Champions, who provide ongoing peer support, promote inclusive workplace cultures and share good practice across organisations.
